Three fire appliances from Bridgwater attended reports of a conservatory on fire in Woolavington. Upon arrival crews confirmed the fire had spread from a bonfire in the back garden to the conservatory, crews got to work to extinguish the fire using 2 breathing apparatus, 2 hose reel jets, 1 safety jet, 1 thermal imaging camera and a triple extension ladder. The conservatory sustained 80% fire damage and 20% smoke damage was caused to the rest of the property. Two male casualties were treated on scene by ambulance crews for smoke inhalation.
The cause of this incident was believed to be accidental.
